The Unicode Consortium. Produces and enhances The Unicode Standard, the character set standard to which Apple is moving all of its type and international technologies.

The Unicode charts. A series of charts illustrating the repertoire of The Unicode Standard.

Microsoft Typography. Includes the specification for TrueType as implemented on Windows.

Adobe's OpenType Documentation. The same as Microsoft's, but hosted by Adobe.

Macromedia Fontographer. The oldest and most popular TrueType font editor for the Mac OS.

Pyrus Typography Tools. Including FontLab, a new TrueType font editor for the Mac OS 9 and OS X.
