Apple Unveils Faster iMac G5 Line

New iMacs feature built-in wireless and Mac OS X Tiger.

iMac G5Apple recently updated its iMac G5 line with faster 2.0 GHz PowerPC G5 processors, built-in AirPort Extreme and Bluetooth wireless connectivity, and Mac OS X v10.4 “Tiger,” the fifth major release in four years of the world's most advanced operating system.

Tiger delivers more than 200 new features and innovations that developers can use in their own applications, including Spotlight, Dashboard, Automator, Core Image, 64-bit support, and more.

Big Nerd Ranch Updates Cocoa Bootcamp Curriculum for Tiger
With the release of Mac OS X Tiger, Atlanta-based Big Nerd Ranch has made some changes to their upcoming Cocoa Bootcamp, taking place June 27-July 1. Their Cocoa development training curriculum now includes topics such as Core Data, Xcode 2, and an introduction to creating Automator actions.
