New multi-button mouse features innovative Scroll Ball.

Mighty MouseApple recently announced Mighty Mouse, its next generation mouse with several innovative new features, including a Scroll Ball that lets users scroll in any direction—vertically, horizontally and even diagonally. Mighty Mouse is the first multi-button mouse that retains the simplicity of a single-button mouse, featuring a seamless enclosure with programmable touch sensors that act as primary or secondary buttons.

Apple Enhances iBook and Mac mini

Apple has enhanced its iBook G4 line with faster Power PC G4 processors running up to 1.42 GHz, 512MB memory, and built-in AirPort Extreme and Bluetooth wireless connectivity. The new iBooks feature two patent-pending Apple technologies made popular in the PowerBook G4 line, the scrolling TrackPad and the Sudden Motion Sensor.

Apple also doubled the memory to 512MB in every model of the Mac mini line. Just two inches tall and weighing only 2.9 pounds, Mac mini redefines design for the sub-$1,000 desktop, and allows users the flexibility to choose their display, mouse and keyboard.
