Apple Updates Xserve RAID Storage System

3U rack system delivers 7 terabytes of storage capacity.

Apple recently announced an update to its Xserve RAID storage system. Designed with 14 independent 500GB Ultra ATA drive channels, Xserve RAID now provides up to 7 terabytes (TB) of storage at the industry breakthrough price of just $1.86 per gigabyte (GB), while the dual independent RAID controllers with 512 MB cache per controller offer sustained throughput of over 385MBps.
