Build Elegant and Engaging Dashboard Widgets

Dashcode Developer Beta available to all ADC Members.

Created to meet the needs of widget developers, Dashcode combines powerful visual layout tools with a code editor, debugger, and comprehensive package management into a world-class integrated development environment. It lets you easily and quickly create powerful and useful widgets for yourself, your organization, or even for distribution to the world. With Dashcode you will have your widget running in minutes, even if you've never written a line of code.

For more detail about how you can start developing widgets with Dashcode, check out the latest article from the Leopard Technology Series for Developers.

Everyday Scripting With Ruby Available From Pragmatic Bookshelf
Everyday Scripting with Ruby is divided into four sections. In the first, you'll learn the basics of the Ruby scripting language. In the second, you'll see how to create scripts in a steady, controlled way using test-driven design. The third section is about finding, understanding, and using the work of others—and about preparing your scripts for others to use. The fourth, and more advanced section, shows you how to save even more time by using application frameworks.
