Apple Design Awards Submissions Deadline: Monday, May 17
Applications for the Ninth Annual Apple Design Awards are due by 9 AM on Monday, May 17. These prestigious awards recognize excellence in three design categories: Application Software, QuickTime Content, and Performance Demos.

[1] WWDC Features: Birds of a Feather, WWDC E-ticket 5-Pack Update
WWDC is a great place to connect with the Apple technical community. Several Birds of a Feather meetings are scheduled for WWDC attendees on Wednesday, June 30.

Apple will award five fully-provisioned, all-inclusive Apple Workgroup Clusters for Bioinformatics to five scientific researchers in the United States. Recipients will be announced on June 29, 2004, during WWDC.

[4] System Administration Tool News: dbSuite Administration Tool for MySQL 1.2, Navicat 5.1 (MySQL client)
dbSuite Administration Tool for MySQL 1.2 from InterServices New Media is an easy-to-use integrated environment, designed for system administrators, for managing all aspects of local and remote MySQL database servers. It supports Mac OS X and Windows and is now available as Donationware for private use.

Navicat 5.1 (MySQL client) from PremiumSoft is an integrated GUI tool that lets you administer your MySQL, import/export data, backup and transfer database and create query. The new version allows editing text in Blob field and supports MySQL 4.1.x and MySQL 5.0 Alpha.
