[3] New Releases: FileMaker Pro 7 and FileMaker Developer 7 v3 Updates
FileMaker Pro 7 and FileMaker Developer 7 v3 Updates are now
available, and FileMaker Server 7 updaters are planned for later
this month. FileMaker Pro 7 v3 improves performance with more than
300 modifications in text editing, layout editing, scripting,
calculations, portals, value lists, import/export, find, spell
checking, and security.
[4] Web Development Tool News: BasaOne 1.2, CGIScripter 2.35 Enterprise Edition, Web Site Maestro 3.3
BasaOne 1.2 from Basasoft is a web application IDE. It allows for
the writing of web applications with database access without having
to bother about different programming languages, servers, databases,
etc. It integrates PHP, MySQL, HTML, and CSS technologies into one
application with a debugger, compiler, and more. This release adds
QuickTime support, more speed, drop-down lists, and interface
enhancements.
CGIScripter 2.35 Enterprise Edition from .com Solutions has been
updated to generate Perl CGI scripts for FileMaker Pro 7 and
FileMaker Server 7 Advanced databases, in addition to many other
popular database servers. Other improvements include improved Perl
CGI script generation for Oracle 10G databases, and the ability to
enter Oracle service names with more than 8 characters.
Web Site Maestro 3.3 from Tonbrand Software speeds up your site by
optimizing HTML and script code and uploading them in one pass. This
version has a revamped Mac OS X user interface and a more user-friendly
Configuration Wizard.

<oXygen/> XML Editor 5 from Syncro Soft is an easy-to-use, Java-based
editor for XML, XML Schemas (W3C XML Schemas, Relax NG schemas), and
XSL stylesheets. This version adds an XSLT 2.0 editor and debugger,
XPath 2.0 evaluator, XQuery Editor, WSDL Editor and SOAP Analyzer,
and SVG Viewer.

[9] Useful Utilities: iPatch 3.0, PC-Mac PasswordVault 3.3
iPatch 3.0 from iPatch.org lets developers compare the resources of
two applications to produce a self-applying patch to update an older
version of an application to a newer version. iPatch fully supports
prebinding and is now able to compress data using zlib. It also
includes a tool to compare files and folders.
PC-Mac PasswordVault 3.3 from Lava Software is a simple, secure,
enterprise-level, multi-platform password manager. This new version
improves password security and includes additional custom-build
options for large organization licensees.
