[1] New MacTech Magazine Launch with Subscription Offer for ADC Premier and Select Members
Sporting a fresh new design, MacTech Magazine has expanded its
editorial focus to feature content for developers and Mac power
users alike. The new MacTech will apply its signature "how to"
approach to topics such as server configuration, networking, PDF
tricks, databases, web design, cross platform networks, home
automation, and more. ADC Premier and Select members can take
advantage of a special subscription price of $19.95 for 10 issues
— nearly 80% off the newsstand price.
[2] ADC Compatibility Labs Add New Hardware
The ADC Compatibility Labs in Cupertino, California maintain more
than 150 configurations of Apple hardware. We have added the
following equipment for developer compatibility testing:
- Apple Keyboards for Germany, France, Great Britain, Spain
- NVIDIA GeForce 6800 Ultra video card for testing with 30-inch
Apple Cinema Display
Use of the ADC Compatibility Labs is a no-charge benefit of ADC
Select and Premier membership. ADC Premier members may use the labs
for 3 days each month, and ADC Select members may use it 2 days each
month.

[4] Web Development Tool News: EditLive! for Java 4.0
EditLive! for Java 4.0 from Ephox is an online XHTML authoring tool
that provides users with an intuitive, easy-to-use interface for
creating and publishing web content. This release includes real-time
spell checking; multimedia support; copy-and-paste improvements;
drag-and-drop support; and inline resizing for tables, images and
multimedia objects.
[5] System Administration Tool News: Calendar Developer Tool 7.0, PC-Mac-Net FileShare v4.0, Virtual Passage SSL VPN Client 1.2.2
Calendar Developer Tool 7.0 from Formulations Pro is a complete
calendar, contacts, and "To Do List" application with resources to
extend calendar capabilities for FileMaker Pro developers. Manage
multiple users, security, and store documents with unrestricted
licensing. This version was rebuilt from the ground-up with
FileMaker Pro 7, and features open licensing.
PC-Mac-Net FileShare v4.0 from Lava Software allows users to share
files easily and securely between Macintosh and Windows computers
across LANs and WANs. This version features faster auto-discovery of
other LAN users; a new workgroup hub function; simplified network
setup and diagnostics; multilanguage localization; and full
compatibility with DHCP.
Virtual Passage SSL VPN Client 1.2.2 from Menlo Logic now supports
Mac OS X. Mac users can connect to a remote network as if they were
on the local network. It is launched from the Menlo Logic SSL VPN
portal and easily traverses NAT and firewalls.
