Image processing algorithms are hard to explain on a whiteboard. They are easier to understand, however, when built into an interactive application. About a year ago, George Dahlke downloaded Xcode and learned Cocoa to build Color Blender so that he could let users apply his algorithms to their images in real time, regardless of the size of the image file being manipulated.

George has a steady stream of people at his ADC Developer Pavilion booth at MacWorld 2007. They are struck by how fast his application is in making color adjustments. Dahlke says that as an experienced engineer but beginning programmer, he is grateful for the ADC Developer Pavilion and Apple's help in getting his product to the marketplace.
