iPhone Tech Talk World Tour 2009 - Frequently Asked Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
I'm a Registered iPhone Developer, why can't I sign up for an iPhone Tech Talk this year?
The iPhone Tech Talk World Tour is open to developers in the iPhone Developer Program only. Content presented during the Tech Talks is focused on advanced coding and design techniques to assist developers with apps actively in development or already on the App Store.
What Apple ID should I register with?
Please ensure that you use the Apple ID and password associated with your iPhone Developer Program Membership when you submit your registration to attend an iPhone Tech Talk.
I want to register other people on my team for the iPhone Tech Talk; how do I do that?
All iPhone Tech Talk registrants must be active members of an iPhone Developer Program team. If someone you want to register is not currently on your iPhone Developer Program team, you will need to invite them to the team and have them accept the invitation to join the team prior to registering them for the iPhone Tech Talk. Only Team Agents and Admins may invite Members to join an iPhone Developer Program team by using the iPhone Developer Program Portal.
Is content under NDA?
No. All information presented during the iPhone Tech Talk World Tour is public information and based on the current released versions of iPhone OS 3.0 and the iPhone OS 3.0 SDK.
Can I register for more than one city?
Yes and No. The registration system will allow you to register for more than one city but we will be watching for duplicate registrations since we expect an extremely high demand and will want to give as many people as possible an opportunity to attend. Therefore, please be careful to register for your most preferred city.
Can I change cities?
You may change cities; however, please check the agenda for the cities which you are interested in as the content presented may not be the same at each location.
Can I come to an event that’s been marked as FULL?
Due to capacity restrictions at each location, attendance is limited to those that receive a confirmation of registration for that particular venue.
How do I prepare for this?
Content presented during the iPhone Tech Talk World Tour is very advanced technically and focused on coding and design techniques. iPhone Tech Talks are designed to help you learn how to make your app better, faster, and easier to use, by improving reliability, performance, design, system integration, and more. This year's content is not an introduction to iPhone development. Since sessions are very technical it’s vital that attendees are software engineers (or equivalent), have experience programming with the iPhone SDK, and have an app actively in development or already on the App Store.
Is this free?
iPhone Tech Talks are presented to developers at no cost for attendance.
Can I bring my co-worker?
Due to capacity restrictions at each location, attendance is limited to those that receive a confirmation of registration.
Can I transfer my ticket to someone else?
No. All developers in the iPhone Developer Program who wish to attend an iPhone Tech Talk must pre-register for each city they wish to attend.
Where can I get more information?
The complete agenda and descriptions of the sessions presented during the iPhone Tech Talk World Tour can be found by visiting the iPhone Tech Talk World Tour website.
How do I know I have a spot?
You will receive a confirmation email that will provide you with the date, city, and location of the iPhone Tech Talk you registered for.
Can I cancel my registration?
If you need to cancel your registration, please contact us at: techtalks@apple.com.
Will more spaces be open later on?
Due to capacity restrictions at each location, attendance is limited to those that receive a confirmation of registration. Please check the iPhone Tech Talk World Tour website for any updates or new information.
