コンポジションをQuickTimeムービーにする

注: コンポジションにおいて、インターネットから入手するRSSフィードなどのリソースを使用している場合、QuickTimeムービーからそれらのリソースにアクセスすることはできません。

コンポジションをQuartz ComposerコンポジションからQuickTimeムービーにするには、以下の手順に従います。

  1. 「Editor」ウインドウをアクティブにした状態で、「File」＞「Export as QuickTime Movie」を選びます。

  2. 「Save」をクリックし、表示されるウインドウで必要に応じて寸法や再生時間を変更します。

  3. 「Export」をクリックします。

    エクスポートしたムービーをFinderで開くと、Figure 6-4のようにQuickTime Movie Playerが起動します。

生成されるQuickTimeムービーには、コンポジションがあらかじめレンダリングされたものではなくコンポジションそのものが格納され、QuickTimeによってリアルタイムでレンダリングされます。このようなQuickTimeムービーは、Mac OS X 10.4以降でのみ開くことができます。

Quartz ComposerコンポジションからQuickTimeムービーを作成する別の方法として、QuickTime Playerでコンポジションを開き、ムービーとして保存する方法があります。この方法でQuickTimeムービーを作成した場合、カスタムの寸法や再生時間を指定することはできず、デフォルト値が使用されます。これらのデフォルト値を変更するには、defaultsコマンドラインツールを使用します。たとえば、幅を1024、高さを768、および再生時間を60分に指定するには、以下のコマンドを「ターミナル」ウインドウに入力します。

defaults write NSGlobalDomain QuartzComposerDefaultMovieDuration 60

defaults write NSGlobalDomain QuartzComposerDefaultMovieWidth 1024

defaults write NSGlobalDomain QuartzComposerDefaultMovieHeight 768

NSGlobalDomainのデフォルトはすべてのアプリケーションに適用されます。

iMovieなどの特定のアプリケーションにデフォルト値を設定する場合は、以下のようなコマンドを入力します。

defaults write com.apple.iMovie3 QuartzComposerDefaultMovieDuration 300

defaults write com.apple.iMovie3 QuartzComposerDefaultMovieWidth 640

defaults write com.apple.iMovie3 QuartzComposerDefaultMovieHeight 480

ヒント:  Mac OS X v10.4では、QuickTimeと互換性のある任意のアプリケーションでコンポジションを開いて再生できます。コンポジションを開くために使うアプリケーションがQTKitおよびHIMovieViewを使用していれば、コンポジションのパフォーマンスは最適になります。これらはどちらもMac OS X v10.4で使用できます。
