メモリ管理

Objectiv-Cプログラムでは、不要になったオブジェクトは必ず割り当て解除することが重要です。そうしないと、アプリケーションのメモリ占有率が必要以上に増えるためです。また、まだ使用しているオブジェクトは絶対に割り当てを解除しないようにすることも重要です。

Objective-C 2.0ではこれらの目的を満たすため、メモリ管理のための2つのパラダイムを提供しています。

• マネージドメモリ。参照カウントと呼ばれる手法を使用して、オブジェクトの存続期間の決定について最終的な責任を負います。

  マネージドメモリメモリについては、『Memory Management Programming Guide for Cocoa』で説明しています。

• ガーベジコレクション。自動「コレクタ」にオブジェクトの存続期間の決定権を渡します。

  ガーベジコレクションについては『Garbage Collection Programming Guide』で説明しています。
