The QuickTime for Java Application Framework presents a collection of classes that are provided to developers to simplify usage of the QuickTime for Java API, enabling a close integration with Java's display and event distribution system and a useful and extensible set of abstractions for application developers to customize. For the developer, a complete set of online documentation has been generated using JavaDoc.

The Framework provides services in a number of different areas. The QuickTime for Java SDK includes sample code that demonstrates the use of a number of the classes in these packages.
