QuickTime for Java Installation
Step 1:

Install A Java Runtime Environment
A Java Runtime Environment must be installed prior to installing QuickTime for Java. The installers can be found at the following locations: 		Step 2:

Install QuickTime
In order to install QuickTime for Java, developers will need to select 'QuickTime for Java' in the 'Custom' install option. The installers can be found at the following location:
Mac OS
MRJ Installer 		Mac OS and Windows
QuickTime Installer
Windows
JRE for Win32

Requirements

Java VM
QuickTime for Java will run with the Macintosh Runtime for Java on Mac OS and the JavaSoft JDK on Windows. The VM must be at least version 1.1 - QTJ will not run with a 1.0.2 VM.

QuickTime for Java Applets
QuickTime for Java applets will run on the Mac OS under Microsoft Internet Explorer (4.0.1 or better) and under Netscape Navigator using the MRJ Plugin.

On Windows, QuickTime for Java applets will run using the Java Plugin from Sun Microsystems, Inc. in both Microsoft Internet Explorer and Netscape Navigator.
