malloc

Function to use to allocate any storage needed.

Declaration

var malloc: (Int) -> UnsafeMutableRawPointer?

Parameters

size

Size of space to allocate in bytes.

Return Value

Pointer to newly allocated memory, or nil if allocation failed.

Discussion

Memory is freed through the free callback. If this function pointer is nil, the system malloc() is used.
