# applicationWillFinishLaunching(_:)

Tells the delegate that the app’s initialization is about to complete.

## Parameters

`notification`

A notification named [`willFinishLaunchingNotification`](/documentation/AppKit/NSApplication/willFinishLaunchingNotification). Calling the <doc://com.apple.documentation/documentation/Foundation/NSNotification/object> method of this notification returns the `NSApplication` object itself.
