Search for Catalog Resources

Search the catalog by using a query.

GET https://api.music.apple.com/v1/catalog/{storefront}/search

Path Parameters

An iTunes Store territory, specified by an ISO 3166 alpha-2 country code. The possible values are the id attributes of Storefront objects.

Query Parameters

The entered text for the search with ‘+’ characters between each word, to replace spaces (for example term=james+br).

The localization to use, specified by a language tag. The possible values are in the supportedLanguageTags array belonging to the Storefront object specified by storefront. Otherwise, the storefront’s defaultLanguageTag is used.

The limit on the number of objects, or number of objects in the specified relationship, that are returned.

The next page or group of objects to fetch.

The list of the types of resources to include in the results.

Response Codes

The request was successful.

If successful, the HTTP status code is 200 (OK) and the results contains a map of search results. The members of the results object are the types of resources and the value for each is a ResponseRoot object. For example, if the query includes Album objects, a member of the results object is “albums” and the value is a Root object containing Album objects. If unsuccessful, the HTTP status code indicates the error and the details are in the errors array. See Handle a Response.

Mountain-of-a-man nicknames, no doubt, but not one of them ever did James Brown the justice he deserved. JB\u2019s influence is so large it\u2019s plain impossible to imagine what music today would sound like without him. James didn\u2019t just master soul and funk; he invented them.
