# fetchHistory(after:)

Retrieves history since a given date.

```

## Parameters

`date`

The date used to define the start of the fetch history.

## Return Value

A persistent history fetch request ([`NSPersistentHistoryChangeRequest`](/documentation/CoreData/NSPersistentHistoryChangeRequest)) with an initial date boundary.
