# CTFontCopyCharacterSet(_:)

Returns the Unicode character set of the font.

## Parameters

`font`

The font reference.

## Return Value

A retained reference to the font’s character set.

## Discussion

The returned character set covers the nominal referenced by the font’s Unicode `'cmap’` table.
