# coerce(toDescriptorType:)

Returns a descriptor obtained by coercing the receiver to the specified type.

```

## Parameters

`descriptorType`

The descriptor type to coerce the receiver to.

## Return Value

A descriptor of the specified type, or `nil` if an error occurs.
