# init(attributedString:)

Creates a new attributed string from the contents of another attributed string.

init(attributedString attrStr: NSAttributedString)
```

## Parameters

`attrStr`

An attributed string.

## Return Value

An [`NSAttributedString`](/documentation/Foundation/NSAttributedString) object initialized with the characters and attributes of `attrStr`.
