# init(xmlString:)

Returns an `NSXMLElement` object created from a specified string containing XML markup.

```
init(xmlString string: String) throws
```

## Parameters

`string`

A string containing XML markup for an element.

## Return Value

The initialized `NSXMLElement` object or `nil` if initialization did not succeed.

## Discussion
