Fx protocol defines the methods a host application implements for identifying the version of the plug-in that was used by a project when the project was first created.
- FxPlug 3.1+
The protocol allows a plug-in instance to determine which version the original instance of the plug-in was. For example, if a project is created using version 1 of a plug-in and then later a plug-in is updated to version 2, the plug-in can determine that the project was created with the old version of the plug-in and can choose whether to render the old way, or the new way.
This protocol was first introduced in FxPlug SDK 1.2.1.
