# cyclingPower

A quantity sample type that measures the estimated power being used while riding a bike.

```
static let cyclingPower: HKQuantityTypeIdentifier
```

## Discussion

These samples use power units (described in [`HKUnit`](/documentation/HealthKit/HKUnit)) and measure discrete values (described in [`HKQuantityAggregationStyle`](/documentation/HealthKit/HKQuantityAggregationStyle)). Cycling power can be automatically collected by peripherals connected to an Apple Watch during cycling workouts. Sample data may be condensed and/or coalesced by HealthKit. For more information, see <doc://com.apple.healthkit/documentation/HealthKit/accessing-condensed-workout-samples>.
