Instance Property

pitchEnabled

A Boolean value indicating whether the map camera’s pitch information is used.

Declaration

@property(nonatomic, getter=isPitchEnabled) BOOL pitchEnabled;

Discussion

When this property is set to YES and a valid camera is associated with the map, the camera’s pitch angle is used to tilt the plane of the map. When this property is set to NO, the camera’s pitch angle is ignored and the map is always displayed as if the user is looking straight down onto it.

In an app, always check the value of this property to determine whether a map can support 3D.
