makeComputeCommandEncoder()

Creates an object to encode a sequential compute pass into the command buffer.

Required.

func makeComputeCommandEncoder() -> MTLComputeCommandEncoder?

Return Value

A compute command encoder object.

Discussion

The resulting encoder encodes compute commands to be dispatched serially (MTLDispatchType.serial).

After the command buffer creates the compute command encoder, you can’t create other command encoders for this command buffer until you call the endEncoding() method of the MTLComputeCommandEncoder object.
