The current stage in the lifetime of the command buffer.

Discussion

During the initial stage of the command buffer, status is MTLCommandBufferStatus.notEnqueued. Its value changes as the command buffer is enqueued, committed, scheduled, and completed. If execution fails, then the status value changes to MTLCommandBufferStatus.error.
