# configuration

The configuration run by the session.

```
@NSCopying var configuration: NIConfiguration? { get }
```

## Discussion

An app doesn’t set this property. Instead, NI sets its value to reflect the object that the app passed in to [`run(_:)`](/documentation/NearbyInteraction/NISession/run(_:)).
