Instance Property

contactIdentifier

The identifier associated with a user record in the Contacts database.

Declaration

var contactIdentifier: String? { get }

Discussion

The identifier of the CNContact object associated with the user. The value of this property is specified automatically at initialization time and can’t be changed later.

If the user denied your app access to the Contacts database, this property is always nil. Not having access to the user’s Contacts can prevent an intent from including data related to contacts. For example, if the user tries to book a ride home, the intent may derive information about the user’s home from the Contacts database.
