# append(_:)

Appends the given character to the string.

```

## Parameters

`c`

The character to append to the string.

## Discussion

The following example adds an emoji globe to the end of a string.

var globe = "Globe "
globe.append("🌍")
print(globe)
// Prints "Globe 🌍"
```
