# uppercased()

Returns an uppercase version of the string.

func uppercased() -> String
```

## Return Value

An uppercase copy of the string.

## Discussion

The following example transforms a string to uppercase letters:

let cafe = "Café 🍵"
print(cafe.uppercased())
// Prints "CAFÉ 🍵"
```
