# disablesAnimations

A Boolean value that indicates whether views should disable animations.

```

## Discussion

This value is `true` during the initial phase of a two-part transition
update, to prevent [`animation(_:)`](/documentation/SwiftUI/View/animation(_:)) from inserting new animations
into the transaction.
