# removeTarget(_:preservingOrder:)

Removes an authored target path.

func removeTarget(_ path: USDLayer.Path, preservingOrder: Bool = false)
```

## Parameters

`path`

The target path to remove.

`preservingOrder`

Pass `true` to keep the relative ordering
of remaining targets stable.
