Using Apple Configurator to add Macs to Apple Business Manager (ABM) / Apple School Manager (ASM) for Automated Device Enrollment: Apple Configurator has provided a way to add individual iOS, iPadOS and Apple TV devices to ABM / ASM for a while. Configurator is now being extended to make this capability available to Apple Silicon and Intel T2 Macs. Introducing Apple Configurator for iPhone iOS version of Configurator - Sign into Apple Configurator for iPhone using a Managed Apple ID associated with your ABM / ASM instance - Managed Apple ID must have at least the device enrollment manager role assigned to it in your ABM / ASM instance. - Scan animated enrollment image in Apple Setup Assistant on your Mac using your iPhone's camera to pair the Mac with Configurator. - Once paired, Configurator sends all data needed to add the Mac to your ABM / ASM instance An Apple Configurator for iPhone demonstration can be seen at 6:18 in the session video. Once added to your ABM / ASM instance, the newly-added device will need to be associated with an MDM server in your ABM / ASM instance using the "Edit Device Management" button in the device entry for the newly-added Mac. There is a 30 day provisional period like there is for iOS / iPadOS / tvOS, during which a user can remove their Mac from your ABM / ASM instance by unenrolling from the MDM server the Mac was associated with.
