Per the title, I’ve found an issue where the Timers function of HomePods running 14.7 are not working as designed.
Specifically whether you set the Timer on an iOS device OR attempt directly on the HomePod they fail in different yet similar ways
Setting on iPhone
You will either not see the New Timer button in the Home app or you will and it will allow you to set one BUT when it gets to 00:00 the sound never goes off and when you click the x to cancel, the timer never goes away.
Setting on HomePod Directly
You say ‘hey Siri set an x second time’ and then get presented with a couple of responses based on this issue. I’m classing them as below:
Worst Case - ‘Somethings gone wrong’ - doesn't even appear to attempt setting timer
Middle Case - ‘x second timer starting now’ - but then doesn't sound at the end of the timer, doesn’t register in Home App and if you ask ‘hey Siri how long’s left on my timer’ it will respond ‘there are no timers set’
Best Case - ‘x second timer starting now’ then sounds the timer alarm whether set by the Home App to the HomePod in question OR whether set by voice on the HomePod directly and you can view the timer counting down in the Apple Home App
Full resets of network infrastructure and even HomePod resets do NOT resolve issue. With that said I have 1 HomePod out of a few that is working without issue. Therefore I believe that 1 could assist in fault isolation and ultimate resolution but haven't found anything different about that one yet.
For clarity, all Siri requests that involve Internet are working fine and even setting an Alarm or controlling HomeKit works fine. In other words everything else is good EXCEPT the Timers function. Is there a particular port/service that is required for this specific functionality ?
I've tested this on both iOS 15 beta (for iPhone testing) and against standard iOS 14 (release version) and the same issue occurs. HomePods like I said are running release version 14.7.
I've filed a bug too but mentioning here in case others have seen this. Thanks

AllPer the subject line, I tried to turn on Messages in iCloud but get the above error. I am using the same account for both. The only difference is that as this is an old @me.com Apple account that iCloud is somehow reverting the new @iCloud.com version to @me.com for that login whereas messages is using the new version of the same account @iCLoud.com. For Example:iCloud login shows: name@me.comiMessage shows: name@icloud.comAgain same address jsut for whatever reason when I enter the @icloud.com in the icloud login it reverts it to the older @me.com domain. Thats the only possible issue I see that could be causing this.Anyone else seeing this and have a workaround ? If not I'll file a bugThanks

Per the title, 14.7 was running on an original 4K ATV (not the latest one) and I was watching content on it yesterday then all of a sudden screen goes blank, and ATV is fast flashing the LED. Its been doing this ever since. How do I resolve this and what caused it as this literally happened while just consuming content ?
Thanks

After many betas not being able to convert my SSD to APFS, I booted from a 10.13 USB drive today, went into Disk Utility and was 'seemingly' succesful in converting to APFS. Rebooted and now won't boot. This is an encrypted volume. Booted back off the USB image, went into Disk Utility again, sure enough mounts with the PW without issue. Run First Aid and fails immediately with exit code 8. Click on the Info icon in Disk Utility and evrything shows ok, APFS Encrypted etc except when I scroll down to bootable and it shows NO.If I go to Image Verify in DIsk Utility menu (just to see if I can browse to the APFS volume) sure enough it works fine, shows the file structure etc, just wont boot. Boots the bar to the no entry logo only. Doesnt prompt me to enter password and unencrypt on regular boot.If I try and change Startup Disk to the APFS volume it say 'You can't change the startup disk to the selected disk.' 'Running bless to place boot files failed'Anyone else seen this issue and know how to resolve ? It looks like the drive is still good with data on it, not sure why when APFS conversion exited successfully that it will not not allow it to boot.Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

Per the title, anyone else seeing issues with Dolby Vision in the latest tvOS 13 beta 3 ? For me this has always been working (even in beta 2) without any issues but now it fails to show the screen and I have to have the ATV 4K re-scan, fail and take it back to regular HDR mode. My setup has and does support Dolby Vision without issue to this point and the cables are known good. Whats funny is this was working fine after the beta update for a few hours then now will not switch into it.Anyone else seeing this or have any ideas ?ATV4K -> Receiver -> LG OLED TVBug/Feedback filed as well

Per the titel, have been trying to update an Apple Watch Series 3 over the past few days with no luck. WHen I do get the watch to download the update it will then get to the install step, take forever to detect its on the charger then finally when it tries to update comes back with a Unable to Update error. Have removed and reinstalled profiles but still the same.Wanted to file a bug but the Feedback Assistant app (running on iOS 13 beta 2) will not let me create one, stating Feedback for this beta is closed !Anyone else seeing either one of these issues and able to resolve ?Thanks

Not sure if anyone else has noticed this but in the latest version, Siri is not announcing anything with audio, just the visual on-screen. For example set a timer via Siri that would normally lead to audible feedback of 'roger, 5 minutes and counting' etc no does not announce anything.Bug 37925609 raised but would be interested if anyone else is seeing this.

I wondered if anyone else was seeing this. Specifically even with Connected Servers, Back to My Mac & Bonjour Computers checked, I am not seeing them show up in the sidebar of Finder.I'm also noticing when I browse Network to add servers I see a blank list, yet when I click Go To Server and enter the IP it connects and presents the shares (at share level) without issue. Not sure what has changed and this is only happening on 1 of 2 test machines.Any ideas ?Bugs have been filed

AllAnyone else noticing weird issues with time inconsistencies for exercises in watchOS beta 4.3 ? Specifically I have noticed that the Exercise time (recorded in each exercise) does not match the Exercise team now being shown on activity. An example. I setup a 30 minute per day exercise goal for testing and completed about 6 minutes of light exercise through the day. I then set a run workout and did 31+ minutes (which showed in the completed exercise summary screen after the run). Therefore at a minimum I would expect the 'you've closed your exercise ring' message and also in Activity see about 36 to 37+ minutes of total exercise............WRONG.At the end of the run as I mentioned above I see 31+ minutes. Go to Activity for the day (after allowing time to sync etc) and it shows 29 minutes ! Even on the watch after the workout it showed 29 minutes although the exercise summary there too showed the 31 minute run !Not sure what is going on but certainly only happened since the beta.Bug filed but wondered if anyone else has seen this ?

AllHave noticed over the past week that seemingly without any rhyme or reason my Mac Pro (running the beta) will crash to black screen, wait about 20 seconds then come up with the machine is restarting as a result of a crash etc and then hang at boot screen (just sit at grey screen with progress bar not moving). A manual reboot brings it back and seemingly without issue until the next time at random. No specific app being used, function being done etc.Anyone else seeing these crashes ?Thanks

Anyone else seeing the Watch app download the update but when going to install comes up with 'Unable To Verify Update. The WatchOS update couldn't be verified because you are not connected to the internet' even though I am clearly connected. If you've seen this, any workarounds ?Thanks

Hi allI know we all have this conversation each year but wondered if there were any updates between the last GM we received as devs and the final release today that warrants or expects us to wipe out the beta profile and upgrade ? I guess the same question goes for Watch OS as well. Thanks
