For the WWDC Scholarship Application essays, particularly the essay on sharing computer science passion and coding knowledge with others, I would like to mention some previous experience I had in the iOS modification community. I am aware that the act of modifying/tweaking iOS is against the Terms of Service - is it still alright to include the experiences I had in that community in this essay? My experiences with it were a good example of how I was able to share coding knowledge + computer science passion with others, and I think it is a relevant inclusion that would help flesh out my essay. To clarify: My playground code and current usage of/development with iOS is in accordance with the Terms of Service. I am asking if it is alright to mention my experiences with this community that occurred the past, or if mentioning the community would result in disqualification of or strong bias against my application.Thank you!

According to a tweet by an app developer, new apps created with Xamarin (amongst other non-native frameworks) will be rejected beginning early 2019. This was supposedly "announced" through an email about an older app being rejected to the developer.I have my doubts that this is legitimate - the email's language is not proofread well, and doesn't seem like it would have come from Apple. I also do not see why Xamarin would be banned, considering it is just a binding, or why similar frameworks like React Native would not be banned. As someone looking into learning Xamarin, this worries me a bit. Some clarification from Apple on whether or not this statement is true would be appreciated.
