We are actually analyzing the number of updates in the app store.
What we see is, that the number of updates before 2020 seem to be quite normal.
Starting 2020, the updates per app version increase significantly and cannot be explained with e.g. downloads or re-downloads.
Could it be that a change has been made to the calculation method? We don’t get any information concerning this point from Apple.
So maybe other app owner or developer are seeing the same behaviour or have any explanations for this.
