If CoreAnimation is not intended for these types of tasks, we recognize that there may not be a quick solution for leveraging GPU drawing on a background thread. We would greatly appreciate any guidance on potential directions we could explore to achieve these tasks. You mentioned a “drawing engine”; could you please elaborate on this concept? Should we consider building this drawing engine ourselves, possibly using Metal? Your guidance would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
