Yes. On another note, I recommend not using ChatGPT because it has been established to be significantly worse than Claude (yes, including o1 and o1 Pro, which are also severely out of date in their knowledge of Swift SDKs). Neither one is perfect and you’d have to spoon feed both equally. But as an assistant that is supposed to enhance your Swift development workflow, Claude is just better. It understands your intent better. It writes a lot less buggy code. It has better code structure.

Hello, Documentation Engineer.
Can you please confirm that Swift Assist is either cancelled or indefinitely delayed? It would be a major help for thousands of people looking for it. We‘ll all look for alternatives if Apple confirms that Swift Assist is not coming.
Hello @lijiaxu, thank you. I think you mean Xcode 16.3. 16.2 is already out and it doesn’t have Swift Assist. It’s true that there indications of it in the current version. But it’s not functional.
4 months are up.
Has Apple cancelled or indefinitely delayed this feature? 9 days left before 2024 ends. Any official update would be appreciated, please escalate it to the people in charge if you have the power to do so. I understand that Apple doesn’t give precise dates when they say “Later this year”, but they can at least confirm a postponement (however unspecific it is).
Thank you.
