Hi, I have a well established app for Android and am looking to start developing the iOS version of the app to be published on the App Store. Hence, I am interested in reserving my app name for the App Store while developing it and know how to do it.
I have read on forums that without uploading any code, the app reservation terminates after 120 (or so) days and the app name can't be reused by myself. Is this still the case?

Is it possible to bundle free apps together to make convenient for the user to download/access? Been trying to figure it out on appstoreconnect, but I keep getting error messages about subscriptions... not sure how to handle. Thanks to anyone who can provide assistance.

I'm developing an in-house app which receives a bundle from a POST request and i have to upload that bundle to the App Store. So i did some research and found that i can upload my apps to the App Store manually using Transporter tool. The problem is that i need my app to upload this bundle for me, automatically. For this reason, i'm asking you if there is some kind of API to use the Transporter services through my own app, or if the only way to upload apps to the App Store is using Transporter manually.
Thank you.

So I am developing an app that will need to use a bunch of random faces like the one attached. I just want to know if this is ok in legal standpoint and that I won't have any trouble pushing the app to appstore later.
Looking at the log it seems that the error is this:

But I'm not a 100% sure if this part of the log is responsible for the error message.
But it seems that these frameworks contained in the app archive from visual studio mac are somehow not codesigned due to xcode expecting an info.plst file for them, but I'm not sure. When going through the step by step process of uploading to app store connect all of these dylib files appear with the message "no profile required", these dylibs being:
libMonoPosixHelper.dylib, libe_sqlite3.dylib and libmon-native.dylib.
I can't remember if these dylibs have appeard in this manner befor when trying to upload previous versions, but i probably had the same package versions of these frameworks when trying to upload to begin with as the last time i updated my app, now i have the latest version of these packages. I could be way off base that this is the error, but searching online i can't find alot of information about this "Asset validation failed" message.
Any help is appreciated.

I do see there is an "Availability Date" option. Which could work, but I need confirmation on the way I intend to use it:
Set availability date far in the future (12 months) and submit my release ALPHA1 to app store
Once I see my app is approved, then I will continue with normal development and make a release BETA2 5 days later
I would want the BETA2 release to go live immediately and for the ALPHA1 release in the future to never occur.

Hi,
We are developing an enterprise app which will be used by our employees and planning to host it as an Unlisted app in the App Store. This app is Intune MAM enabled and requires a Microsoft Work account (managed by our Active Directory) to login to the app. To login to the app, our employees must register to our BYOD program and once that is setup, they can login with their work email and password.
Apple requires developers to provide test accounts for the App Review process, but in this case I'm not sure how to provide them test credentials as it is a Intune MAM application and would require apple to register their test device(s) with our Company's BYOD program.
So my question is, has anyone submitted an Intune MAM enabled app to Apple App Store for Review and does Apple still require test credentials?
Thank you!

it's mid-May now, still having this same issue...
clicking on my "apps" it takes minutes to load, actually minutes.
Sometimes it loads but says "Sorry, something went wrong. Try your request again. If the problem continues".
I go to Network tools and see 500 on some requests.
I'm doing the same procedure in Google Play Store (uploading and creating an app).
Why is Apple working like that? that's the number 1 company in the world.. How can they afford to have these humiliating issues and bugs?
Google is taking 25$ FOR LIFE for a developer account, Apple is taking 99$ per year.
Google works flawlessly, Apple process never works, and is super buggy.
Whaaaaat is going on?
Please someone tell me, am I the only one who is frustrated with Apple? Am I the only one who thinks that a service that takes 4 times more than Google for just 1 year, should be at least as good as Google?
TLDR: APPLE, I'm stuck, I can't create apps, HELPP MEEEE!
thanks.

(always out-of-date) Developer system status is visible here: https://developer.apple.com/system-status/
However this is mostly out of date and seems to be manually updated since hours go by at times and thousands of reports are needed (both via Feedback Reporter or the dev forums) before this page acknowledges an outage of any kind.
Please add a way to contact Apple directly from that page or "ping" whoever's concerned somehow so we can say "Hey guys, it's broken!". If enough people ping, then Apple can take some action. Right now iCloud / App Developer related services are offline multiple times a year and it's very inconvenient as no one even acknowledges till it's widespread everywhere (forums, stackoverflow, twitter etc).
Google Play Store services are super efficient in this regard - they respond to bug reports within a few hours, acknowledge it and are transparent. Their server outages seem to be automatically monitored and controlled so that human-operators can be pinged appropriately.
Every now and then the notarization service goes down and it's a pain because this means we can no longer notarize and push even "direct" macOS apps with critical fixes.

Hello, I have a client having 2 apps with same theme, color, and styles. The one is for user and the other is for administrator. The problem with administrator was rejected because of duplication issue. The apps has some feature of user's app but has additional feature only for administrator.
How to publish the administrator app in this scenario ?
Thanks

Hi,
I am trying to upload a mobile game I created for iOS app store for beta testing with friends and family through testflight. I have especially purchased a MacBook Pro running XCode 13.3.1 and Monterey 12.3.1 and an iPhone running Software version 15.4.1 to this end. My XCode deployment target is set to iOS 15.4 and my Unreal Engine 5.01 minimum iOS version in packaging is set to 15.
As far as I can tell everything is set to be as up to date version wise as possible, yet every time I try uploading the packaged game through transporter app the build won't show up in App Store Connect and I get an error email from the development team saying :
ITMS-90725: SDK Version Issue - This app was built with the iOS 14.4 SDK. All iOS apps submitted to the App Store must be built with the iOS 15 SDK or later, included in Xcode 13 or later.
Now I've emailed the team and their response was to version up and try again and look for the error in the email.
So I did that and got the exact same error and no build available on App Store Connect. I don't get it as I'm running the latest versions of everything already?
Help please...!

Hi there,
I'm having trouble registering for iTunes connect for iBooks. I'm trying to publish my books onto iBooks, however, I'm having a lot of difficulties. First, I was having trouble getting onto iBooks. Fixed that, but now when I go to register for an iTunes Connect account and put in my ID and password, I'm stuck in a loop with the enter User ID popping up over and over again. Been like this for 2 hours, I tried on my phone, different browsers, different accounts, and even a different computer. Nothing. I can't register for iTunes connect. :/
Called customer support and was on the phone for almost an hour, but no luck, and was told to try the forums. Appreciate all help, thank you!!
Since my first deploy I've been uploading my app to Appstore using XCode user interface, and everything works as expected. However, I would like to start uploading the app via command line, and when I upload the app via altool (xcrun altool --upload-app ${appname}.pkg) I get a feedback from Apple saying a provisioning profile was not selected.
Is there a way to explicitly pick a Provisioning Profile via command line? Maybe as an argument or something like that.

Hi, this is what i got from Apple.
The primary purpose of your app is to encourage users to watch ads or perform marketing-oriented tasks, which is not appropriate for the App Store.
Next Steps
We encourage you to review your app concept and incorporate different content and features that are in compliance with the App Store Review Guidelines.
So may I know that what to do next?

Hi, this is what i got from Apple.
our app includes incomplete features that users are required to use, such as login service.
Next Steps
To resolve this issue, revise your app so that it is appropriate for public distribution and provides users a complete experience. If your app is not ready for public distribution or is intended to demonstrate an app concept, use TestFlight.
So may I know that what to do next?

Recently I tried to submit an app for review and selected 3rd option under "Version Release" section to release my app, i.e Automatically release this version after App Review, no earlier than
Date of submission: May 4, 2022
Here I selected May 6, 2022, to automatically release my app but I couldn't get to save those settings and submit my app for review.
I have attached a screenshot of the error in network logs when trying to save with the above settings.
Just switched from a M1 MacBook Air back to an Intel Mac mini 2018 (not sure if it matters) and in the first try to distribute an app to the App Store I got a new error.
The error states: The cloud signing service returned an invalid signature for
It is failing when signing bundled universal binaries that where already signed before and are already in the App Store, no modification to that binaries.
Replacing them with flat versions (Intel or Apple Silicon ones) works properly and the distribution process completes, but obviously the universal ones are needed.
The error asks to fill a bug report but being familiar to bug reporting I know I can get some feedback tomorrow, in two years or never.
Anyone else found this one? Any idea what can fix this or the best way to get in touch with Apple for a prompt fix?

When I try to create a new title for my app i'm getting a "ERROR ITMS-2000: "Verison '3.11.3', Locale 'en-US': title cannot be edited in the current state"
Does anyone know where I can see if the Create template changed for Apple API for Apps?
