I don't know if it's an error or something like that, but I can't use my iPhone 12 camera as webcam with my Mac Studio in Facetime and Quicktime. I'm using a 27" LG screen without webcam. Is it necesary to get by? What's the thing? Anybody with my issue? thanks...

Hello, I have been searching for any related issues with the problem I am encountering. When I try to view macros and run it on my excel, it states "License information for this component not found. You do not have an appropriate license to use this functionality in the design environment". Currently working on Excel office home & student 2021 Any recommendations on how it can be fixed? Tried already changing the setting to "enable all macros" and trust access to VBA but still not working. Thanks!

As the title says CGDisplayCopyAllDisplayModes does not appear to return ALL of the display modes. I've attached a screenshot showing a list of the modes returned by CGDisplayCopyAllDisplayModes. Notice that a CGDisplayMode with the currently used mode ID# 13 is not in the list. My second screen, a non-Retina display, seems to behave as expected. How do you find 'all' of the CGDisplayModes for an Apple Studio Display?

Hello my fellow apple enjoyers my name is Jackson. I have an idea to share with you today that utilises existing apple hardware as well as slightly designing a new product. My idea is a sketch pad for MacBooks / iMacs, this idea will include a digital sketch pad that can connect to your computer via Bluetooth or wire, possibly varying in sizes (maybe a 10x10 inch and a more rectangle one) and it will let you to use the Apple Pencil to allow you to sketch notes, draw and use with Adobe programs such as photoshop, premiere pro, light room and after effects Just a simple idea that I think would be awesome to see come to life and will be an awesome product for the more creative people that like the bigger iPad Pro and pencil combos!

I have pretty much a good experience with the first macOS Ventura beta. Except every time I close my 2018 MacBook Pro and assume it's going to sleep, it just stays on and I end up with a dead battery. Is there anyway to fix this? I have the 'disable display from going to sleep' setting when on Power Adapter, but it seems to be doing the same thing when it's not connected? or just not entering a sleep state. About to apply Beta 2 but thought I'd mention this.

Hi, I have a MacBook M1 chipset machine; clean setup with macOS Big Sur 11.6.7. Whenever an app try to access another app, system prompts an alert box with 'Don't Allow' & 'OK' buttons. When I click on 'OK' button or 'Don't Allow' button, nothing happens and the dialog remains there forever. What should be the problem? How do I fix this issue? Why system is not responding for user consent alert box actions (OK or Don't Allow)? Thanks -Maju

Dove in and upgraded two Macs today to beta 1. Unfortunately, it appears L2TP VPN is broken or something changed in the way it works. I can longer get a connection to any VPN concentrator I used previously. I tested with Cisco Anyconnect SSL VPN client and can connect to the same concentrators (as they're configured to accept L2TP or SSL clients). I also tested from my phone running iOS 16 beta and it still works for the L2TP connections. The Mac not working with L2TP VPN ppp.log shows this Fri Jun 10 19:18:52 2022 : L2TP connecting to server 'IP removed' (IP removed)... Fri Jun 10 19:18:52 2022 : IPSec connection started Fri Jun 10 19:18:52 2022 : IPSec phase 1 client started Fri Jun 10 19:19:02 2022 : IPSec connection failed Connecting a Mac successfully on 12.4 the log shows Fri Jun 10 19:12:33 2022 : L2TP connecting to server 'IP removed' (IP removed)... Fri Jun 10 19:12:33 2022 : IPSec connection started Fri Jun 10 19:12:33 2022 : IPSec phase 1 client started Fri Jun 10 19:12:33 2022 : IPSec phase 1 server replied Fri Jun 10 19:12:34 2022 : IPSec phase 2 started Fri Jun 10 19:12:34 2022 : IPSec phase 2 established Fri Jun 10 19:12:34 2022 : IPSec connection established (and then a ton more lines of the entire process ending with client getting an IP that I won't bother posting) VPN wasn't high on my list of apps I was concerned about breaking with the beta. But, now that it is broke and I need it for work I'm kinda screwed myself. Anyway, if anyone knows a way to fix this please let me know.

Hi, is there any hardware diffs between M1 & M2, without the performances? As the title suggests, will i be able to create/test apps for both intel & arm(M1&M2) in my m1 mac with the same code in xcode? And How can i make an universal dmg without having an intel mac? Also, correct me if i'm wrong: does 'the rosetta swaps' hamper ssd life? Thanks in advance.

I'm using M1pro and have successfully installed Numpy with Accelerate following, and it really speedup my programs. I also ran np.test() to check the correctness and every test passed. However, I can't install Scipy with Accelerate, since the official document said Accelerate has a LAPACK of too old version. I can't even find a scipy that can pass scipy.test(). I tried the codes below: conda install numpy 'libblas=*=*accelerate' conda install scipy np.test() as fails, sp.test() can't even finish conda install numpy 'libblas=*=*openblas' conda install scipy Both np.test() and sp.test() can finish, but with many failures. I believe the bugs are due to Conda. pip install --no-binary :all: --no-use-pep517 numpy pip install scipy np.test() has no failure and went fast, sp.test() uses OpenBLAS and has 3 failures. This is the best version I have found. So my question is: can we find a reliable version of scipy on M1? Considering the popularity of scipy, I think it's not a high-living expectation. And a question for Apple: is there really a plan to upgrade the LAPACK in Accelerate?

I have had Touch ID Key heating issues lately. The key got really really hot. So, I deleted my fingerprint and deactivated all Touch ID login options. Now, if I try to add a fingerprint again, the Mac won't allow me. It says (translating from Italian): "Failed Registration with Touch ID impossible to complete. Go back and retry" And this goes on an on. It was working flawlessly on beta 1, until suddenly, after 3 days of the Mac being in a bag, unplugged, I noticed the Touch ID key was getting really really hot. I hoped upgrading to beta 2 would solve the problem, which it didn't. I also noticed, on beta 1, that deleting the fingerprint and unchecking all login options from Touch ID brought the key back to the usual temperature. But now, I cannot add a fingerprint again. I wonder if it is a known issue on the beta or not. I filed two feedback reports at Apple, but haven't heard anything. Lastly, for completeness, I am on: Mac OS 12.5 public beta 2 MacBook Pro M1 Pro 2021 Internal keyboard no peripherals attached The issue started suddenly on beta 1, but the initial installation of the beta didn't cause it for some weeks. The "add a fingerprint" issue was both in beta 1 and now in beta 2.

Working with a M1 Macbook Air, macos 12.4. Anytime I open a new terminal window or just a new tab, it takes a really long time till I can type. I have commented out my entire ~/.zshrc and when run for i in $(seq 1 10); do /usr/bin/time $SHELL -i -c exit; done directly in an open terminal window it says it finished in 0.1s. So it must be something macos is doing before zsh is even starting. PS: In the activity monitor I can only see a spike in kernel_task cpu usage when opening a new terminal

I've bought an iPhone 12 Mini 4 days ago and since then it has been restarting every day. Now it's something like 5-6 restarts in total. I went to Settings -> Privacy -> Analytics & Improvements -> Analytics Data to see if I could find any bug reports there and I found 5 panic-full reports. They all had the same socld: "0x00008101".
