Introduction to RAM Expansion Developer Note
Every Macintosh computer currently shipping allows for increasing memory by installing one or more RAM modules. To ensure proper performance, reliability, and compatibility, such RAM modules must include certain features and must comply with industry standards, as described in this document.
Developers who are designing RAM devices for Macintosh computers will find this document useful.
