MyAESendProc
Your application can provide an alternative send function that performs almost any action instead of or in addition to sending Apple events. For example, before sending an Apple event, an alternative send function can modify the event or save a copy of the event. An alternative send function takes the same parameters as theAESend
function plus a reference constant.
FUNCTION MyAESendProc (theAppleEvent: AppleEvent; VAR reply: AppleEvent; sendMode: AESendMode; sendPriority: AESendPriority; timeOutInTicks: LongInt; idleProc: IdleProcPtr; filterProc: EventFilterProcPtr; refCon: LongInt): OSErr;DESCRIPTION
Every scripting component calls a send function whenever it sends an Apple event during script execution and provides routines that allow you to set or get the pointer to the send function. If you don't set an alternative send function for a scripting component, it uses the standard Apple Event Manager function
AESend
, which it calls with its own default parameters.SEE ALSO

function, see "Sending Apple Events," which begins on page 5-37.
