AppleScript Terminology and Apple Event Codes Reference

This table serves two purposes:

1. It lists what Terminology has already been chosen so you can imitate it where appropriate to be consistent with other scriptable applications, as advised by the “Don’t re-invent the wheel” section of the Scripting Interface Guidelines.
   
   
2. It shows the matching Codes for each Terminology entry. If you do use a Code or Terminology with Usage of AppleScript Language, Digital Hub OSAX or Standard Additions, you must use the matching Terminology or Code. If you do not, you will cause a terminology conflict.
