  1. Connect your device to your Mac.

  2. In the Devices organizer, select Screenshots for a device or for the Library section.

  3. Select an image.

  5. Specify the name of the image and the target app, and click Next.

A launch image acts as a placeholder for your app’s user interface at launch time. When the user launches your app, the iOS presents this image until your app displays its main window and starts responding to events.
