# resignCurrent()

Restores the previous progress object to become the current progress object on the thread.

This method restores the current progress object to what it was before invoking [`becomeCurrent(withPendingUnitCount:)`](/documentation/Foundation/Progress/becomeCurrent(withPendingUnitCount:)).
