# isGeometryFlipped

A Boolean value that indicates the orientation of tile indexes along the y-axis.

```
var isGeometryFlipped: Bool { get set }
```

## Discussion

When set to <doc://com.apple.documentation/documentation/Swift/false>, tile indexes start in the upper-left corner of the map and proceed down and to the right. Thus, the tile at `(0, 0)`is in the upper-left corner of the map, the tile at `(1, 0)` is to its immediate right and the tile at `(0, 1)` is immediately below it. Setting this property to <doc://com.apple.documentation/documentation/Swift/true> causes the map to start indexes at the lower-left corner of the map and proceed up and to the right.

The default value of this property is <doc://com.apple.documentation/documentation/Swift/false>.
