# makeVisibleFunctionTable(descriptor:)

Creates a new visible function table.

## Parameters

`descriptor`

An [`MTLVisibleFunctionTableDescriptor`](/documentation/Metal/MTLVisibleFunctionTableDescriptor) instance that configures the created table.

## Return Value

A new visible function table, or `nil` if an error occurred in creation.
