# truncationMode

A value that indicates how the layout truncates the last line of text to
fit into the available space.

## Discussion

The default value is [`Text.TruncationMode.tail`](/documentation/SwiftUI/Text/TruncationMode/tail). Some controls,
however, might have a different default if appropriate.
