Accessibility on watchOS

Apple Watch is the first consumer wearable with a range of accessibility features — including the VoiceOver screen reader — built right in. Using the watchOS Accessibility API, you can expand the functionality of your apps and drive usage among a wider range of customers.

This screen reader interacts with objects in your app so that users can drive the interface even if they can’t see it. Make sure that the user interface elements in your apps are accessible and useful.

Display Customization

Let your users customize the display so that it works best for them. Customizations include Larger Type, Bold Text, Reduce Transparency, and Reduce Motion.

Haptic feedback can provide valuable information to all users, but it can be particularly useful to those with a range of disabilities. With access to the Taptic engine, you can add haptic feedback in your Apple Watch apps.
